This breakfast dish- spam eggs and rice has sentimental value to me.
It reminds me of my childhood/ younger days when I would hear and smell spam, along with the eggs and garlic fried rice sizzling in the frying pan. Sometimes we would have it with Banana Catsup (Look it up). Sometimes we would eat it with our hands- it was a fun and humbling experience.
Brings me back to memories of eating with my family or spending the night at my cousins house and having this dish for breakfast
Back when I would eat with family- I can't remember the last time I had this communal experience.
Going back to family- it reminds me of what my family went though and sacrificed for me to be here today. I am Filipino and many of my relatives and other filipino relatives are nurses, I joke on the track of being pressured to become one ( just like many of you probably were)
I understand where they are coming from as well and respect it.
For the production, I wouldn't have it none other than J57- who is a big bro/ mentor/ and good friend to me. Since this song has family themes to it, who better than him.
